Here are my top 5 NBA "Guards" These are non-point guard, but could be labeled as small forwards.
#1

Kobe Bryant, quite possible one of the most loved and hated player in the game depending upon who your favorite team is. Though, I think he shoots the ball way too much how can you argue with a player who has 5 NBA championship rings. He is unbelievable to watch and continues to amaze even though his age is getting up there in basketball standards. He is currently leading the league in points per game, which isn't a surprise. His stats are PPG 28.8 RPG 5.7 APG 4.7 SPG 1.3
#2

Lebron James is my 2nd best guard in the NBA. Possible the most hated player in the NBA, I consider him the most exciting player. The NBA actually labels him as a forward, but I don't think you can list a person who handles the ball as much as Lebron does as a forward. He is the optimal play maker and creates better than anyone since Magic Johnson. He is extremely exciting to watch and has incredible athleticism. The only real negative in his game is his last minute falters. As soon as he wins a championship he may be considered the best player ever to play. His stats are 27.7 PPG 8.4 RPG 6.6 APG 1.8 SPG <-- Amazing Statistics       #3

Kevin Durant is my #3 Guard in the NBA. He quite arguably could be number one and I really couldn't disagree with you. He is an amazing talent and rarely hits the rim when he shoots. Kobe has the rings and Lebron has done it for a longer time. That is no knock on KD who very well could win the MVP this year and the scoring title. He is only 23 years old and has a bright, bright future ahead of him. If you haven't seen him play you need to! His stats are 27.9 PPG 7.9 RPG 3.4 APG 1.4 SPG
#4

Dwayne Wade is the #4 guard in the NBA because he posses all the skills of the previous players and he also possess the clutch gene that his teammate Lebron James lacks. He also has a championship ring that he won only in his second year as an NBA player. Dwayne wade has a fantastic mid-range game and can also make some of the rarest trick shots you will see. He also has an uncanny knack to block shots, which is strange for a guard of his height. He is also a great talent who will go down as one of the best guards to play the game. His stats are 22.5 PPG 4.4RPB 4.9 APG 1.7 SPG
#5

#5 Is Carmelo Anthony, who may have the best name out of my top five NBA guards. He is an incredible talent who seems to disappoint me every year. He has an ability to score the ball that cannot be matched by anybody in the league because of his strange strength and different array of shots. However, he is a very selfish player who always seems to be on bad teams. He doesn't play defense and that is an issue that will keep him from winning a championship in the NBA. All NBA championship teams play great defense and Mello for one reason or another has never found himself on one. I love watching him play and would like to see him win a ship before Lebron! His stats are 21.3 PPG 5.8 RPG 3.8 APG 1SPG

My top five point guards in the NBA

#1 is easy for me its Derrick Rose the MVP of last year. He is a dynamic scorer, incredible passer and is exciting to watch. He also is explosive enough to take over games and is great to watch. This year he's averaging 21.8 PPG 7.7 APG 3.4 RPG and 0.8 SPG

#2 Is just as easy for me to choose and he is as close to number one as you could be. Chris Paul is the ultimate play maker and has put the LA Clippers in the limelight. This year he is averaging 19.2 PPG 8.6 APG 3.6 RPG and 2.3 SPG

#3 Is Russel Westbrook. He is a dynamic scorer who could possible be the leading scorer for point guards in the league if he didn't play with the best player in the league (Kevin Durant.) Russel has an endless upside and just signed a 60 million dollar contract. This year he is averaging 23 PPG 5.5 APP 4.8 RPG and 1.8 SPG

#4 Is Derron Williams. This is were there is lots of parody, but Derron Williams is a great talent stuck on a very bad team. He can shoot anywhere on the court, make plays and also do well in the paint. This year on a terrible team he is averaging 22,2 PPG 8.2 APP 3.5 RPG and 1 SPG

#5 Is Rajon Rondo. This may be a bias pick to close out my top five NBA point guards, but I don't believe he gets the credit he deserves. He is impossible to stop from reaching the paint and plays as if he had eyes in the back of his head. Sure he plays with great players, but he creates in a masterful way. This year he has been out several games but is averaging 14.8 PPG 9.5 APG 4.8 RPG and 1.6 SPG

Here is my top five point guards, I will continue with Shooting guards next week I would like to here some comments because I know this is very arguable! Hope you like..
